Focus on Emotions...

is a programme on Emotional Inelligence. "Anyone can become angry – that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not easy." (Aristotle)

This awareness course will help you to understand the impact of emotions; to detect and decipher emotions; to harness emotions; to appreciate complicated relationships among emotions; and to regulate emotions in both ourselves and in others. Therefore, to become an emotionally intelligent person can harness emotions, even negative ones, and manage them to achieve intended goals.

Focus on Coaching...

is about leading others by helping them to develop their knowledge and skills. A wide variety of companies are currently working to create an organisational culture which supports leadership rather than traditional management only. Coaching - as a means of freeing up individuals' potential - lies at the core of true leadership.

This highly experiential programme is designed to help participants to develop the requisite skills, to learn by doing. The trainers/facilitators model coaching behaviour throughout the programme.

Focus on Consulting...

training programmes and workshops are intended for individuals working within organisations, with little or no formal power, yet with the responsibility to effect sometimes major changes in the methods, practices and processes used. We see an increasing trend in organisations towards defining working relationships in terms of clients and consultants.

Expertise alone is not enough to be an effective consultant. Our custom-designed programmes help participants to understand and apply the key stages and associated behavioural skills in the consulting process, and how they are, as individuals, the most important instrument available in any consulting relationship.

Individual Coaching and Mentoring....

are related concepts, with "mentoring" usually implying more extensive counselling and support. Learning Consortium consultants have helped hundreds of individuals to identify steps they can take to enhance their own effectiveness, discover their own preferred styles (for example, of leadership) and find an optimal work/life balance.

We see coaching and mentoring not as activities designed to "solve performance problems" but rather as processes designed to help individuals to "move on" to where they want to be in their work and in their lives.
