Leading in Times of Change

Where does this path lead?
We haven''t been here before. The current global economic crisis is new territory for everyone. So for senior managers and others who are having to provide some leadership, the times are doubly difficult. They are deeply affected themselves by the changes, and are charged with helping find a way forward for their organisations.
At a private meeting recently, some very senior managers and government advisers in the UK made the following comments:
"We don't know what we are doing"
"We are just making it up as we go along"
"I am scared stiff, but I can't admit that to anyone"
"We have never experienced anything like this before"
"I feel very alone"
Never has there been a greater need for senior managers to feel grounded and supported in leading change so that they can cope themselves and also help their employees to respond positively.
Whilst none of the Learning Consortium team were around in the 1930s(!) we do have a lot of experience in working with senior leaders to help them to deal with the emotional, personal and interpersonal challenges they face. It is very lonely when you are a senior leader in an organisation, and we have designed a programme specifically for these circumstances, to help senior leaders address the key issues which are relevant today, in the company of their peers.
Usually only available as an in-company event, so as to protect the confidentiality of strategic issues, if appropriate, Learning Consortium will work to broker partnerships of small teams from non-competing organisations to make a peer learning group viable.
For more information, please contact us and a consultant who understands your business context will be in touch for a free consultation to discuss your needs. You can download a brochure for more information on the programme by clicking here.
